He got his first big break in the year 2006 when he was cast for the role of Stacy’s son in the popular television series How I Met Your Mother. He again appeared on How I Met Your Mother as Tyler Stinson in the year 2009. After this, he went on to do another television show All of Us where he portrayed the role of Richie in 2006. He has done several television shows in his career which include Desperate Housewives as Little Robin Hood in 2008, MADtv as the joker in 2008, Ni Hao, Kai-Ian as San San in 2008, 24 as a young boy in 2009, Childrens Hospital as Cody in 2011, Family Guy as homeless little boy in 2011, Uncle Grandpa as belly kid in 2013, Last Man Standing as Andrew in 2014 and Dead of Summer as Jason Cohen in 2016.

He made his movie debut in the year 2007 when he portrayed the role of Little Arthur in the movie Because I Said So in the year 2007. He then went on to do several movies in the same year which include Sex and Death 101 as Barbeque Brat, Georgia Rule as Ethan, The Chubbchubbs Save Xmas as Brad Spoylt and National Treasure: Book of Secrets as Lincoln Conspiracy Kid. He is popular for portraying the lead role of Greg Heffley in the comedy film Diary of a Wimpy Kid in 2010 and its sequels Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules in 2011 and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days in 2012. He has done several movies in his career which include Handy Manny as Little Lopart in 2008, Lower Learning as Frankie Fowler in 2008, Four Christmases as a kid in 2008, The Brothers Bloom as young Bloom in 2009, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour as Seth in 2012, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone as Will in 2013 and Pete’s Christmas as Pete Kidder in 2013.

He has also been a voice artist in several movies and television shows like The Mighty B! in 2008, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa in 2008, Batman: The Brave and the Bold in 2008 and Norm of the North in 2016. He was rumored to be in a relationship with Sabrina Carpenter in the year 2013, but the couple broke up in 2014.
