Gordon made his television debut in 2006, appearing as Stacy’s son in the popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother. He returned to the series in 2009, this time portraying the character Tyler Stinson. That same year, he took on the role of Richie in the television show All of Us.

Over the years, Gordon amassed a diverse range of television credits. His appearances include Desperate Housewives as Little Robin Hood (2008), MADtv as The Joker (2008), Ni Hao, Kai-Lan as San San (2008), 24 as a young boy (2009), Childrens Hospital as Cody (2011), Family Guy as a homeless little boy (2011), Uncle Grandpa as Belly Kid (2013), Last Man Standing as Andrew (2014), and Dead of Summer as Jason Cohen (2016).

Film Career and Breakthrough with Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Gordon made his film debut in 2007, playing Little Arthur in Because I Said So. That year, he also appeared in several other films, including Sex and Death 101 as Barbeque Brat, Georgia Rule as Ethan, The ChubbChubbs Save Xmas as Brad Spoylt, and National Treasure: Book of Secrets as Lincoln Conspiracy Kid.

He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Greg Heffley, the protagonist in the film adaptation of Jeff Kinney’s best-selling book series. Gordon starred in Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010), followed by its sequels, Rodrick Rules (2011) and Dog Days (2012). These roles established him as a leading child actor of the time and brought significant attention to his acting career.
