Conroy’s television career began with a minor role on the popular series Gossip Girl, where he appeared in a single episode opposite Leighton Meester’s character, Blair Waldorf. He later described the experience to NH Magazine, noting the intensity of filming on location with paparazzi present and recounting how a friend found a photo of him and Meester on a celebrity news site shortly after it aired.
His breakout role came with the CBS daytime soap opera Guiding Light, where he portrayed James Spaulding. The performance earned him a nomination for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series in 2010. His work on Guiding Light significantly elevated his profile in the soap opera genre.
In 2009, it was announced that Conroy would join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful, where he played the role of Oliver Jones. He debuted in the series in 2010.
