Anthony became a host for a show called A Cook’s Tour, which was on air from 2002 till 2003. The short lived program gave Anthony experience that he would use to launch the next chapter in his life. In 2005, Anthony premiered his flagship show No Reservations on the Travel Channel. The show was a big hit for the network and some critics argue that The Travel Channel would not be as big as it is today without No Reservations. The show was a perfect fit for the network because of the format. Anthony would narrate the show was he traveled to different restaurants across the world. The focus didn’t end at the famous restaurants. He would meet people and try to really immerse himself into the culture.

In one episode of the show, he befriended a Vietnamese villager. The villager took Anthony back to his home to meet his family. Anthony ate the home cooked food of the family and celebrated them even though there was a language barrier. He participated in their customs and enjoyed drinking alcohol with him. He even played a game of sticks with them where he had to jump and skip to avoid being struck with the sticks. Moments like this is what made the show popular with audiences because they were getting an interesting combination of food and culture.

Anthony also had another program called Kitchen Confidential which was based on his book of the same name. Anthony was nominated for an Emmy Award after an amazing episode of No Reservations which took place in Beirut. Almost all of Anthony’s episodes could have won an Emmy because of how much he taught people about different cultures.

In 2011, Anthony started a new project on the Travel Channel called The Layover. The show had 20 episodes, which aired during two years. It was a good show but did not meet the expectations of Anthony or the network. In the 2013, Anthony ended his long relationship with the Travel Channel. It is unknown if the reason for leaving was due to money or creative differences. He joined another network called CNN who hired him to host a new program called Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. The show would follow the same popular format as his previous show No Reservations.

Outside of his own programs, Anthony has also appeared in various films and TV shows. He appeared in a movie called The Big Short. He made guest appearances on TV shows like The Simpsons, Miami Ink, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman and Nick, Jr.'s Yo Gabba!”

Although Ariane is only known for being the daughter of a world famous chef and television personality, her role in a wealthy family has attracted the attention of tabloids. Unfortunately for Ariane, she will have to learn about the world without her father. In June of 2018, Anthony committed suicide in a French hotel. It is unknown if the stress of the divorce or another reason caused him to take his life. Anthony was a survivor of drug addiction from his early years and always sought help. The death was a tragedy and made many of his friends sad.
