Brandon Bass

Brandon Bass was born on April the 30th of 1985. Native from Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the United States of America. His birth name is Brandon Samuel Bass. He has two sibling that are younger than him, Dashia and Chris. His parents are Charles Josef and Aretha Bass, the later passed away when he was ten years old. Education

He went to the Capitol High School in his hometown. It was during his time attending high school that he started to gain some recognition. Already in his senior year he ranked the third best player in Southeast by Rivals.com, the eleventh best in the nation, and the seventh best power forward in the nation. While he was in high school he earned various awards, among them: EA Sports Roundball Classic Roster, Parade All-American Team and the McDonald’s All-America Game.

He graduated in 2003 and after that, various universities wanted him to be a part of their basketball program. He ended up going for the Connecticut LSU Tigers College Basketball team. That was one of the two teams that had made him an offer; the others were University of Southern California and The Mississippi State University. While playing for the Louisiana State Fightin Tigers he played twenty nine games and the following year he played one more game.

First Years. During his time there he was honored with EC Freshman of the Year and named SEC All-Freshman Team in 2004 and the very next year this happened once again. 2004 and 2005 were good times for the baseball player as he was able to reach career highs. In a game against the Louisiana-Lafayette he scored a career high with 30 points. By 2005 he made his career high rebound in a game against the Mississippi State. The same year he achieved his career high in blocks.

Career

In 2005 he was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets. On August of that year he signed a contract with that team, this was for various years. In his first season he was assigned to the Oklahoma City Blue, also known as the Tulsa 66ers, the New Orlean Hornets’ NBA Development League. He played only once during that whole season. He stayed with the team for two years and in that time he played in fifty games.

He played for the Dallas Mavericks after having signed a two year deal. He played one hundred games in his two years there. He then signed with the Orlando Magic. He participated in one hundred and twenty six games in his two seasons with this team. After his time with the Orlando Magic he was traded to the Boston Celtics. In his first regular season game there the team lost against the New York Knicks. The following year he helped his team in a victory against the Philadelphia 76ers. They were later eliminated by the Miami Heat. Three years later, in 2015, he joined the Los Angeles Lakers. He made his debut in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October of that year. This year, 2016, he suffered an eye injury that held him out of the line up. He is currently playing in that team.

Family Life

He married his now wife Melissa Prejean in 2013. With her he had two children, one son and a daughter. They are Brandon Brass Jr. and Bella Bass.
