He got the award while playing against, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia and India. He also received two man of the match awards while playing against Bangladesh and Afghanistan in Twenty – Twenty. Because of his hard work, Morné also received the Player of the series award in 2010 while playing against India.

After the marriage, the couple had a baby boy and the pictures are often seen floating on the social media.
