Tony Parker

William Anthony Parker was born on May 17, 1982 in Bruges, Belgium. He has grown up in France. His father Tony Parker Sr. was a professional basketball player too. His mother, Pamela Firestone is known to be a Dutch model. He also has two older brothers T.J. and Pierre. He was inspired by Michael Jordan and has been interested in basketball since his childhood. He chose for itself the position of the point guard. He played for several years in the French amateur league and later he went to the professional basketball by signing a contract with the Paris Basket Racing team in 1999.

At first he appeared at the summer camp of the San Antonio Spurs team. During his rookie season he became a starter. During the season he made about 77 regular appearances. Later he became the first foreign-born guard player who was named to the All-Rookie First Team in the 2001. The next season he appeared in all 82 games as starting point guard. The 2004-2005 season was very successful for him and Tony recorded improved regular statistics with career-high 3.7 rpg.

In the 2007 thanks to Tony’s skills, his team qualified for the NBA Playoffs and finished second in the division. In the 2011 season the Spurs team reached the best record in the West Division. In the same year he also signed a deal with a French professional basketball team ASVEL, where he is an owner and had a stake.

In the 2015 he played for France at the EuroBasket against the Polish team. In the 2016 he announced about his retire from international competition, but he still plays in the NBA.

He was married to famous actress Eva Longoria. Their marriage was pretty short and the couple got to divorce in the 2010. He married again to Axelle Francine in the 2014. He met his future wife in the 2011. She is a French journalist and for the last years she gave birth to their two sons, named Josh and Liam. His net worth is about 75 million dollars. He also earns a lucrative amount of salary, which is about 12.5 million.
