Adam was born on the 27th of May, 1964 and in 2015, his current age is 51 years old. He was born in Los Angeles, California into a working class family, with mixed Italian and Irish ethnicity. His father Jim Carolla, worked as a psychologist whereas his mother Kris McCall was a banker. Born as an only child, he didn’t have the most beautiful of childhood; mainly because his parents got divorced when he was just 5. As a child, he attended Colfax Elementary School in North Hollywood area, and soon was shifted to Walter Reed Junior High. A good football player, he wasn’t brilliant with studies, and thus had to change schools. He graduated from North Hollywood High School, but didn’t get his certificate as his library fees were due. He played for his school’s team and says that getting into sports gave him satisfaction and kept him away from the chaos back at home. He doesn’t talk much about his parents or early life in any interviews or chat shows.

After graduating high school, he started to live by himself and attended a local community college named Los Angeles Valley College, where he played a lot of football too. But his untidy time table of switching between job and education kept him away from classes most of the time; and was later not qualified to attend any more classes. As he had to pay for his food and rent too; he took any job that he could get; from carpenter to boxing trainer; a post that he held to train Jimmy Kimmel back in 1994. His friendship with Kimmel was a turning point in Adam’s career; as he received job opportunities in radio since 1995; starting with Loveline.

Besides hosting shows, he has also been the creative genius behind The Man Show, that ran from 1999 to 2004 as well as the Crank Yankers, from 2002 to 2007. Some other shows that he hosted were the The Car Show in 2011 and The Adam Carolla Project that started in 2005 and was broadcasted in TLC. Similarly, he has also been in reality shows on TV not as a presenter or host, but as a participant. He had appeared in Dancing with the Stars; a reality dance show as well as in The Celebrity Apprentice. He has also made appearances in some other TV shows; providing exclusive interviews on religion, politics and society.
