Broner made his professional debut on May 31, 2008. He quickly gained attention by securing three consecutive first-round knockout victories over Allante Davis, David Warren Huffman, and Ramon Flores. His fourth professional fight marked a notable step up, taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he defeated Terrance Jett via a sixth-round stoppage.

Continued Development and Rise in Rankings

Later in 2008, Broner's fifth professional bout ended in a no-contest against Eric Ricker. In 2009, he went the distance against Jose Alfredo Lugo at the Staples Center.
