Alexandra (Xan) Katherine Cassavetes was born September 21, 1965 in Los Angeles, California, United States of America to Greek-American actor-director John Cassavetes and actress Gena Rowlands. Her grandmother was the famous actress Katherine Cassavetes. Alexandra has a sister, Zoe Cassavetes and a brother, Nick Cassavetes who are both actor-directors. Zoe is also known as a screenwriter.
