Background

Alfonso Cuarón Orozco was born on November 28th in Mexico City, Mexico. Since the beginning of his life, he longed to be either a movie director or a space explorer. He had no desire to join the military which would have been required for his dreams of space so he settled on film directing.

He didn't get his first camera until his twelfth birthday, and after that promptly began to film all that he saw, demonstrating his footage a short time later to everybody. In his teenager years, films were his side interest. Occasionally he would lie to his mom about going to a companion's home, when in truth he would go to the film theater. His desire was to know each performance center in the city he lived.

Close to his home there were two studios, Studios Churubusco and Studios 212. In the wake of completing school, Cuarón chose to think about film immediately.
