She is famous for her Mexican telenovelas, her acting debut was in the telenovela El Penon del Amaranto in 1993 her breakthrough, however, came in 2004 in Innocente de Ti a telenovela where she portrayed the character called Isela, this gave her global fame status. She has also acted on stage as Annabella in the theatrical performance of “The 39 Steps”.

Her feature film debut was in 2009 where is appeared in a movie called Me Importas tu, tu. She played the role of Adriana. She also did several TV shows and even had a role in the TV series Ugly Betty. Five years later she acted in the movie Volando Bajo, this was her second feature film.

In 2010, for the movie Me importas, y tu she got her first nomination in Premios Diosas de Plata which she won for Best Actress Revelation.

Personal Life

Altair Jarabo is not married however, she has dated a couple of famous persons in her past. During her early career days, she is said to have had a relationship with Eduardo Yanez, Eugenio Siller, Alejandro Ruiz, Sebastian Zurita and Carlos Vela as boyfriends, but none has been keen to be her husband. She recently stated that she is taking time for her career and does not have any plans of getting married soon. She is rumored to have split up with her most recent partner in June this year.

She is philanthropic and has been involved in various Charity campaigns within and outside of her home country of Mexico.
