After the successful debut of her first self-titled album called Amy Grant, Amy began releasing albums one after the other and tours were booked at an even faster pace. "My Father's Eyes" and "Age to Age" were her second and third albums. In her third album, she included her signature track, "El Shaddai, which was a contributing factor that led to her first Grammy Award for "Best Contemporary Gospel Performance". Grant also earned two GMA Dove Awards for "Gospel Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year". In the next two decades, the "Queen of Christian Pop" turned towards a new direction in an effort to widen her fan base beyond the religious.
After expanding beyond Christian music, Grant released "Unguarded", "Love Beyond Reason" and "Lead Me On" which were some of her albums that were comprised of contemporary pop songs. In 2002, Grant returned back to her roots with an album called "Legacy... Hymns and Faith". Aside from being a talented and accomplished singer, Grant also worked as a media personality. She made her first appearance on television hosting "Three Wishes", a show that was first broadcasted by NBC in the fall of 2005 but was terminated after one season due to exceeding the production budget.
Grant had sold well over 30 million copies globally and won a total of six Grammy Awards and 22 "Gospel Music Association Dove Awards". She is also credited with releasing the first Christian album to ever go Platinum. In 2006, her accomplishments in the entertainment industry led to her being honored with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. One of her best-selling albums was titled "Heart In Motion" which topped the Billboard Christian album chart for 32 weeks and sold five million copies in the United States.
