Amy Lynn Hartzler, also known as Amy Lee was born on December 13, 1981, in Riverside, CA. In a US Weekly article titled, 25 Things You Should Know about Lee, one of the things listed is her collection of childhood items. In the article, Amy told an interesting story from her childhood. When she was a kid, she loved to ride the escalator a lot, and one time she got lost in a shopping mall. She was scared but she was also curious to explore the world on her own. She was eventually found by her parents but she wanted to point out that she wasn’t as scared as she thought she would be. Even though she started to worry about where her parents were, she found a weird satisfaction in being an independent little girl.

Marriage, Husband, and Kids

Amy fell in love with the lead singer of another band. She was in a well-documented relationship with Shaun Morgan, the lead singer of Seether. They began their love affair in 2003. Their union reached a climax when they got engaged about four years later. Amy was excited to announce the news when she revealed their engagement during a broadcast session Much Music on January 9, 2007.

The engagement did not last long as Amy moved on to another lover. When asked by the press, she confirmed that was proposed to by a man named Josh Hartzler. Hartzler was a therapist and longtime friend of Amy. Amy trusted him because they had spent so many years together as friends. The loving couple spent their honeymoon in the Bahamas.
