Amy was one of the founding members of the band which is why the musical and visual style of the band reflects her creative sensibilities. Amy’s voice is magical and serene. She got so popular with producers and other musical acts that they invited her to collaborate with them. Most of her music catalog was with her own band but she quickly started to get the attention of others. She has participated in countless side projects including Nightmare Revisited and the Muppet Green Album. She even worked with Walt Disney Records. Popular bands like Seether, Korn, and David Hodges also enlisted her voice in their songs.

Amy has used her fame and notoriety for good social causes. She became the American chairperson for the foundation of epilepsy awareness called Out of the Shadows. The foundation operates on a global level but Amy handles the American operation. She doesn’t like the fact that mental illness is stigmatized in the United States. Instead of shunning people away who have mental issues, she wants to lend a helping hand to them and wants to encourage other people to do the same.
