In 2017 Andrea visited Arno Vale Junior School in Woodthrope, Nottinghamshire in order to raise awareness of the NSPCC Childline service for children. "There's always someone there to listen to you. Childline is open every single day of the year. There's always someone there, no matter what." In addition to Childline, children were told to confide in "trusted adults" such as parents, grandparents, teachers, and supervisors if they are suffering from abuse. She also delivered an assembly for the Speak Out Stay Safe campaign. "I really believe every child has a right to be safe, to feel like they belong [in society] and have a voice. It's really important to raise a message that you can share anything. Even as an adult you realize when you share things it helps." "Now that I've got a child of my own it feels more important and there are so many children that aren't safe, that are victims of abuse and bullying. To be able to help that cause, I'm really grateful. It's a real blessing for me."

Andrea currently lives in London's East end with her partner, Terry Betts, and their son who was born in 2012. "I feel blessed to be pregnant" she told Mirror in February 2013. "I've had loads of children in my on-screen life. Even when I was playing teenagers I'd have kids or babies and I've given birth on screen twice." Her son can be  frequently be seen on featured on Terry's Instagram account (@terrybetts).

Terry is a fashion-buyer and in 2014 Andrea opened up a few of her fashion tips to Laura Mulley. "I'm a hoarder", she says. "I find it hard to throw things away. Because a lot of my pieces are timeless, I always think I'll wear them again. But my fiance has loads of beautiful clothes and shoes-- his wardrobe is much bigger than mine!" She describes her style as "eclectic". "I mix up vintage, designer, and high street. What I wear depends on what mood I'm in and what I'm going to be doing that day." When asked her beauty secret, she admitted "It's boring but my skin is at its best when I avoid caffeine and drink plenty of water. I also think stress shows in your face, so it's good to take time to relax." Her advice to followers? "Don't wear anything that doesn't feel right-- you don't look good if you don't feel comfortable."
