Andy Cohen is an American reality television producer, radio host, and New York Times best-selling author. He was born on June 2, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Evelyn and Lou Cohen. Raised in a Jewish household, Cohen attended Clayton High School, graduating in 1986. As a child, he spent summers at Camp Nebagamon for Boys in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin. He later enrolled at Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism.

Television Career and Rise at Bravo

Cohen began his media career as an intern at CBS News. Over the course of ten years, he worked his way up through various roles, ultimately becoming a senior producer for "The Early Show." He also contributed as a producer for the programs "48 Hours" and "CBS This Morning."

In 2000, Cohen joined the cable network Trio. Four years later, when Trio was acquired by NBCUniversal, he transitioned to Bravo, where he became the Vice President of Original Programming. Under his leadership, Bravo launched several successful reality television series, reinforcing the network's reputation for pop culture-driven content.
