From his biography, Angela Yee was born in the State of Brooklyn in East Flatbush. As for her parents, her mother was a West Indian Montserrat and her father was a Cantonese. At the age of 5 years, in 1981, she moved to live in South Orange in New Jersey. She had a major in English and at Wesleyan University since she liked to become a writer.

Angela Yee started working like intern in the Emmis Communication at Hot 97 and then she got promoted to be a host. She had gravitated to work in marketing and music industries soon after she graduated from the college. She got the internship at Wu-Tang Management. Afterwards, she got hired to be an assistant to the CEO called Divine. She was writing all the skits for GZA’s 2nd Album called Beneath the Surface.

Angela Yee worked under Paul Rosenberg and for Eminem clothing company called Shady Limited and she saw the opportunity to go to Sirius Satellite Radio for the marketing department. She talked to Rosenberg, if she is able to get an interview, because he had some connection with the Shade 45. It was the same time that they were looking to get a female on their morning show and she tried her chance. She took over hosting duties on Full time basis and the show got renamed to be Shade 45 Morning show starring Angela Yee. Afterwards, the show got renamed The Morning after with Angela Yee.

Afterwards, Angela Yee moved and started to host Power 105.1 together with Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. It is the show that was known to be candid and they ask through questions to the artists. Weekends with the Breakfast Club started in the year 2013 and it is a nationally syndicated program in over 50 markets. The Breakfast Club started in 2013 and it is featured in many American cities called Detroit, Houston, New Orleans, Seattle, Atlanta and Miami.

Angela Yee worked like a correspondent of the Sucker Free of MTV2. She featured in The Gossip Game which is a reality show of VH1. The show was putting the light to the NY women who are in the radio and in blogging industry. The Breakfast club show started at Revolt in March 31, 2014.
