Anne Marie Green

Anne-Marie Green was born on September 21, 1971, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She holds American nationality and has established herself as a prominent journalist in the United States. Green earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Toronto and later completed a graduate degree in journalism from Humber College. Entry into Journalism

Green began her career in broadcast journalism with CKVR-TV in Barrie, Ontario, where she worked as a reporter. She later joined Rogers Cable News in Mississauga. In 2001, she transitioned to CITY-TV in Toronto, serving as a reporter and anchor. Green also became an anchor for CablePulse 24, a 24-hour news channel affiliated with CITY-TV. These early roles helped her gain substantial experience and recognition in the Canadian media landscape.

Transition to U.S. Media and KYW-TV

In October 2004, Green moved to the United States to join KYW-TV (CBS 3) in Philadelphia as a general assignment reporter. During her tenure at KYW-TV, she rose to co-anchor the Sunday morning newscasts and frequently worked alongside Ben Simoneau. Her reporting skills and on-air presence led her to opportunities with CBS News, where she initially served as a substitute anchor.
