High School Basketball Career

Walker graduated from Grace M. Davis High School in Modesto, California. During her high school years, she earned recognition on the Cal-Hi Sports All-State team and was named League MVP in her senior year. In addition to basketball, she was a multi-sport athlete, participating in varsity volleyball, track, and field events.

College Basketball Achievements at the University of California, Berkeley

After high school, Walker attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she played for the California Golden Bears. She contributed to the team while playing both forward and center positions. Known for her consistent play, she recorded 47 career double-doubles and remains one of the top players in school history. She ranks first in Cal history in total rebounds, as well as free throws made and attempted.

As a freshman, she was among three Cal players named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team—marking the first time that more than two players from the university received that honor. Alongside teammate Devanei Hampton, she was also selected to the All-Pac-10 First Team.

In her sophomore season, Walker continued to excel, earning All-Pac-10 honors again and a spot on the Pac-10 All-Defensive Team. That year, she was also named a Second-Team All-American by Sports Illustrated. As a junior, she became the 17th player in Cal history to reach the milestone of 1,000 career points. In her senior year, she repeated All-Pac-10 First Team and Pac-10 All-Defensive Team selections.

Professional Career in the WNBA and Overseas

Following her collegiate success, Walker was selected in the 2009 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. She later played for several other WNBA teams, including the Tulsa Shock, San Antonio Silver Stars, and Washington Mystics. Her professional career extended internationally, beginning with Maccabi Ashdod in Israel during the 2009–2010 off-season. She remained in Israel for the following season, playing for Maccabi Ramat Hen (2010–2011).

From 2011 to 2012, Walker played for the Turkish team Ceyhan Belediyespor. In 2013, she signed with CSM Târgoviște in Romania, continuing her overseas career. Throughout her professional journey, she has been known for her work ethic, versatility, and rebounding ability.
