Inspired by a diverse range of artists such as Coldplay, the Cranberries, Alanis Morissette, and Kanye West, Rexha demonstrated early talent as a songwriter. As a teenager, she won the Best Teen Songwriter Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, outperforming over 700 other entrants. This recognition led to her initial signing by talent scout Samantha Cox.

Career Beginnings with Black Cards

In 2010, Rexha met Pete Wentz of the rock band Fall Out Boy. The collaboration led to the formation of Black Cards, a pop-electro project where Rexha served as the lead vocalist. The group garnered moderate attention, but she left the band in 2012 to pursue a solo career. Her work during this period helped her earn the prestigious Abe Olman Scholarship Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame for excellence in songwriting.

Solo Career and Breakthrough Hits

Rexha signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2013, marking the beginning of her solo career. Her early work as a songwriter included writing Eminem and Rihanna’s Grammy-winning hit "The Monster." As a solo artist, she gained commercial success with hit singles such as "Me, Myself & I" (a collaboration with G-Eazy), "I’m a Mess," and the country-pop crossover "Meant to Be" featuring Florida Georgia Line. These tracks solidified her presence in both pop and crossover music markets.

Personal Life

Though Bebe Rexha tends to keep her personal life private, she has occasionally been linked romantically to others in the music industry. Rumors once circulated suggesting a relationship with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix; however, these claims have not been confirmed by either party.
