Early Life and Background

Prinsloo was born to Boet Prinsloo, a church minister, and Magda Prinsloo, who ran a bed and breakfast in Grootfontein. Growing up in a bilingual household, she learned both Afrikaans and English. She received her early education in Namibia before starting her modeling career in her teenage years.

Relationship with Adam Levine

In May 2012, Behati Prinsloo began dating Adam Levine, lead singer of the Grammy Award-winning band Maroon 5. The couple married in July 2014 in a private ceremony held at Flora Farms in Los Cabos, Mexico. They welcomed their first daughter, Dusty Rose Levine, in September 2016. The couple has since expanded their family, maintaining a relatively private but celebrated relationship in the public eye.

Breakthrough in the Fashion Industry

At age 16, Prinsloo moved to London to pursue a full-time modeling career. Her initial runway appearances included shows for Prada and Miu Miu in Milan and Paris. She also featured in editorials for Vogue UK and Italy early in her career. By 2006, she was working with major fashion houses including Chanel and Alexander McQueen, helping solidify her position in the global fashion scene.

Victoria’s Secret and Global Recognition

In 2007, Prinsloo began modeling for the renowned lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret. A year later, she became the face of PINK, a sub-brand targeting younger consumers. Her success continued, and in 2009, she was named one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels—a prestigious title held by only a select group of models. Between 2007 and 2015, Prinsloo walked in nine consecutive Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows and opened the runway in both 2014 and 2015.
