Bianca Delagarza

Bianca De La Garza is an America media entrepreneur who started as a stage actress and news anchor. In 2007, she joined WCVB which is affiliated with ABC television in New England. She has been a news anchor and host for top rated programs of TV. Also, she serves as the CEO of Lucky Gal Productions. Bianca is also the co-creator of the meditation retreats: Characteristics of an Intuitive Person and is committed to sharing her conscious lifestyle to support women’s empowerment.

De La Garza was born in Massachusetts in on October 18, 1979 and she has both American and Hispanic citizenships. Throughout her childhood years, she grew up South Shore. Bianca’s father was a professor and her mother was an English school teacher. She was raised in large part  by her cousin and sister as her father and mother was busy in their professional life. De La Garza was encouraged by her mother with her aim working in television.

Bianca began her television career in 1997 after she started working for WTEN. Next, she then began working as reporter and anchor. In 2001, she became a news anchor at WFXT-TV. There, she served for six years till 2007. Later, she served as an anchor and co-host of top-rated morning news show at WCVB.

After graduating from Emerson College in 2000, De La Garza went to Albany where she joined WTEN and where she started her broadcasting journalism career. She served as both an anchor and a reporter. Before working at WCVB, she worked for six years for WFXT-TV and become a reporter and an anchor as well. She was able to report top rated stories such as the 9/11 attacks, the Rhode Island tragedy, and she also covered the Richard Reid Shoe bomber.  De La Garza went to the Vatican to cover stories like Bernard Cardinal Law’s resignation and other abuse and scandals within the church. She was also able to broadcast the destruction of the weapons in Iraq for United Nations General Assembly.

When De La Garza was reporting for KGTV, an affiliate of San Diego, she was also contributing to an investigative report that exposed an illegal sweatshop in a neighborhood. For this reporting, De La Garza received a San Diego Press Club Award. De La Garza  travelled widely in Mexico, California and Arizona while she reported about immigration issues and interviewed the human traffickers from Tijuana in Mexico.  De La Garza was among the reporter who covered the destruction of Southern California from earthquakes and wildfires.

Bianca is also known to be the first American Commentator to interview the Alabama Shooter in 2010 at Georgia at his own residence and also interviewed the suspect of Charged Craiglist.

While working in the Fox Boston, Delararza started a segment of Do It Yourself which is a home improvement segment.  She is known to host many special Oscar nights and also the premieres of the blockbusters movies from Hollywood.

Her weekly late-night show, ‘Bianca’ found itself ranked No. 2 to ‘Saturday Night Live’ just one month after it debuted in New England. In addition, she has had interviews with some of the famous personalities including Madonna, Bono, and Tom Brady. Additionally, she is a big supporter of children’s charities.
