Christi Paul was born when her parents were in Hong Kong and she was raised in Ohio.  She attended Toledo University where she got a degree in the Broadcast journalism.  She did broadcasting in Journalism in West Virginia to be a reporter, photographer, editor and news anchor.

She is married and has 3 children but before she was married to the news anchor and a reporter of Rob Koebel for which she met in the West Virginia and they moved together in Phoenix.  She was Miss Mansfield Ohio, Miss Greater Cleveland in 1992 and a runner up for Miss Ohio.  She performed National Anthem before the game of Florida Marlins and Atlanta Braves for National Hockey League. She also sung for Atlanta Thrashers and Colorado Avalanche game. 

For her first husband, she says that she suffered abuse in his hands and the verbal abuse started from their honeymoon.  Since she believed in the sanctity of the marriage, she tried to make the marriage work even when there were verbal attacks and fighting.  He always told how that she was cheating. 

After four years of praying and counseling, she decided to quite. She did not want to hurt anymore and she forgave him so that he can enjoy the peace she was feeling. From her abusive marriage, she has written Love Isn’t Supposed to Hurt. She said that she has written the book not only to tell the women that  they should not be  in an abusive marriage but  that  the men who are like her ex husband should not abusive their wives.  She wants to tell the women that it is not ok to live in abusive relationship and that none has been born so that someone else can abuse her.

She says that the person who abuses another person is not also well in his turn because he may have been hurt in the past or he is hurting. He advised women to see themselves as God see them but they should not feel worthless because of what they are told by the abusive person.  After getting divorce from her husband, he became kind and respectful and she started to feel safe when she is with him.  After her first marriage, she married Peter and she says that she has never thought that she can be this happy. They had three children with him and she advised for everyone who is hurting to wait for God’s appointed time.
