Big E was born Ettore Ewen on March 1, 1986, in Tampa, Florida. His parents, Eltore and Margaret Ewen, are of Afro-Caribbean descent. As a student at Wharton High School, Ettore distinguished himself in athletics, excelling particularly in wrestling and football. His impressive performance earned him several honors, including Hillsborough County's Ironman award, which highlights versatile athletes.
