Windham Lawrence Rotunda was born on May 23, 1987, in Brooksville, Florida. He grew up alongside his two siblings in a family deeply connected to wrestling—his grandfather Blackjack Mulligan, his father Mike Rotunda, and his uncles Barry and Kendall Windham were all involved in the sport. He attended Hernando High School, where he competed in amateur wrestling and won a state championship in 2005. After high school, he received a football scholarship to attend Troy University but left before graduating to pursue a career in professional wrestling.
Rotunda began his WWE career under the ring name Husky Harris as a member of The Nexus, a faction that included notable names such as Wade Barrett. After a brief run, he rebranded himself as Bray Wyatt, adopting a cult-leader persona and forming The Wyatt Family, which originally included Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. However, in 2017, Samantha filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Reports at the time alleged that Wyatt had been involved in an extramarital relationship with WWE announcer JoJo Offerman, claims which Wyatt denied publicly.
