Brett made headlines with news of his $5 million purchase of a tri-level home, which takes the form of a Bollywood-style palace due to its attributes: a five-bedroom, five-bathroom home, with vast open rooms, impressive luxuriating daybeds, harbourside terraces, and ample space fit for Bollywood dance parties.

Career

Brett's skill at taking wickets is what set him apart in an era characterized by mediocrity and medium-pace bowling. Following the retirement of Australia's greats such as Shane Warne and Glen McGrath, Brett Lee became the country's biggest weapon. For a significant part of Brett's career, he often played as McGrath's support and concluded his Test career with success as Australia's top bowler.

Brett Lee's performance was hampered by an elbow injury. After returning to the 2001 Ashes Series following his injury recovery, Lee's comeback was less successful compared to his debut. However, later that year, he was back on track as Australia's top wicket-taker against New Zealand. Brett completed the series with an impressive 14 wickets. In the preceding competitions, Lee's position came with much pressure which saw him being dropped with the return of Gillespie in the 2002-03 Ashes. However, with much practice, Brett returned to the scene and participated in various other Test series.

After the mid-year break, Brett participated in the Test series held in northern Australia against Bangladesh. During this competition, he took six wickets and was termed the most expensive bowler in Australia. He continued to record even better results in the following series, including the series against Zimbabwe. However, during this series, he missed several appearances due to an abdominal muscle injury.

Brett Lee has, over the years, become a sensational figure in Bollywood. The cricket commentator and legendary fast bowler has established his name in the Indian film domain, particularly through his role in UnIndian. In his role in the Indian film UnIndian, Brett took on the character of an English teacher who starts off liking his Indian pupil and eventually falls for her.
