Brooke Elizabeth Burns an American actress, model, and a Television presenter was born on March 16, 1978, in Dallas, Texas. Burns has two sisters. She started her career as a TV star in the series of Baywatch Hawaii and Baywatch.  She learned ballet dance until she was 12 years of age, and she started her modeling career at the age of 15.  When she was 16, her family moved to Europe. Later, she lived in Milan, Munich and Paris.

Burns is involved in several charitable activities, she is a very generous person. When she was doing the Baywatch series, she was involved in an event organized by Camp Baywatch, where inner city children could learn lifeguarding and swimming. She supported Penny Lane, a place to live for abused children. She is also involved with EGPA (Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids) Foundation.

Education

Brooke Burns attended SHS (Sahuaro High School) and also PVHS (Palo Verde High School) in Tucson, where she was Homecoming Queen for the class of 1995. Later, she also did Broadcast Journalism.

Career Experience

Brooke Burns started her career on Baywatch from 1998 to 2001 as Jessie Owens.  In 2001, she appeared in the Batman OnStar commercials as Vicki Vale opposite Bruce Thomas.  In the Batman film directed by Tim Burton, the role played by  Kim Basinger became very famous. Burns hosted a program on NBC, DED (Dog Eat Dog) from June 2002 to August 2003, and she was nominated for TCA (Teen Choice Award).

She played a role in a primetime soap opera, ‘North Shore’, on Fox, she did 21 episodes, from June 14, 2004, to January 13, 2005.  She acted in a ‘Pepper Dennis’ as a Kathy Dinkle, in  2006 for Warner Brothers. In 2009, Burns acted in first 12 episodes of the ‘Melrose Place’ as Vanessa.  She also got a chance to join in the 1st season of the ABC’s ‘Splash’, but she didn’t take the offer because of her injury, she was injured a few years back while diving.

Burns also acted in Just Shoot Me, Ally McBeal, CSI-Miami, Drop Dead Diva, To Tell the Truth, Out of the Blue, and Average Joe. She also co-hosted on the GSN game show “The Chase with Mark Labbett”.

In 2001, the Farrelly Brothers wrote a special part for Brooke for her role in ‘Shallow Hal’. They were very impressed with her hot looks during the audition, and the brothers claimed that they never met the "prettiest dorky girl" before.  She also acted in an original Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” with her co-star Henry Winkler on December 13, 2008. Her other films include Dancing trees, Smokejumpers, Art of Travel, Trophy Wife, and Time and Again.

Personal Life

Burns' birth mother is from Portugal, but she was adopted and raised by a Jewish family. Burns father is of Irish and French descent, but he left his family when Burns was only 2 years old.  Later, she was raised by her stepfather an Armenian, but she was raised in the Jewish Faith. She is raising her own children with Jewish culture, but she does celebrate Christmas.

Burns was married to her then boyfriend Julian McMahon in 1999, and they separated in 2001.  She married director Gavin O’Connor, and had a daughter. on June 22, 2013.  Check her IMDB for more details
