Who is Camilla Belle?

Camilla Belle is an American-Brazilian actress, director, writer and producer who was born on October 2, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. Belle was raised in a Catholic family with her mother, Cristina Gould who worked as a Brazilian fashion designer, and her father Jack Wesley Routh, a construction company owner. She grew up in Los Angeles where she attended the Catolica Elementary School of Sao Paulo and the all-girls  Marlborough School. Belle spent much of her childhood living in both Santos, Brazil where her mother was born. Belle can speak fluent Portuguese and developed a taste for Brazilian telenovelas. Her career began when she was cast in a print ad in July of 1987. Belle was cast as the lead character in the NBC thriller, "Trapped Beneath the Earth". She went on to land a small role as Jane in the 1995 classic "A Little Princess". Belle also performed in the Focus on the Family radio drama series "Adventures in Odyssey" where she played Aubrey Shepard in 1998. Later that year, Belle portrayed Steven Seagal's daughter in "The Patriot".

Belle's career quickly gained momentum and she was soon cast as Sandra Bullock's younger self in the film "Practical Magic" earning her a 1999 Youth in Film Young Artist Award nomination. She went on to appear as the lead role in "When a Stranger Calls" in 2006. Belle dated singer Joe Jonas from 2008 to 2009. After that, she dated actor Topher Grace but that relationship did not last either and she is currently keeping her dating life private.
