Caroline is Jewish by birth. When she was asked about her parents, she would glow about how supportive they were about her acting career. She also has a younger brother in her family.

She married a fellow actor named Michael Higgs who starred with her in the movie, The Bill. They met each other for the first time on the set of the movie. Throughout the filming of the movie, they started to develop a close relationship with each other. After the movie wrapped up, they kept the connection that they had established and moved their relationship to another level.

They got married in 2007 after a decade of dating each other but they did not announce their engagement. Their wedding was a private ceremony. They didn’t announce their engagement because they wanted to keep their union private. They only wanted their close circle to know that about their marriage.

They had children before they got married which drew some criticism from people. The negative feedback was mostly from religious people. Religious people feel that you are not supposed to have children before you get married. The couple ignored the feedback because they don’t think people should judge them for their actions. They have practical reasons for not getting married yet even after having kids. They had busy schedules as actors so getting married was not a top priority for them. They knew that they would eventually get married so they were not in a rush. Caroline once remarked about how hard it is to balance her home life with her career. She did not need the responsibility of marriage until she was completely ready for it.

The negative attention is a big reason why they choose to protect their children from the media. Her son is 16 years old and her daughter is 11 years old. When they were young, she used to bring her kids on film sets so they could see what their mommy did for work.

They family lives together in their beautiful house in North London.

Growing Up In The Ripper’s Playground

Caroline was born and raised close to the hunting grounds of Jack the Ripper in Yorkshire. She grew up hearing to a lot of Jack the Ripper stories. Jack the Ripper was a serial killer that would hunt prostitutes to murder. He would specifically target prostitutes because he knew that they most likely didn’t have family or close friends. He felt that no one would look for them which would keep the police off his trail. He also felt that he was doing society a favor by wiping out the filth from the world. There was speculation that he was actually a medical doctor that became medically deranged. The rumor came from the fact that the cuts and incisions on the victims’ bodies were almost too perfect. An average person would have not been able to make the cuts. It was the work of a highly trained professional.
