American designer and actor, Carson Lee Kressley was welcomed to the world on November 11, 1969 in Allentown located in Pennsylvania. Kressley had an interesting childhood and grew up in Orefield, Pennsylvania in an incorporated community. His family was fond of horses and raised ponies. It was only due to this that the man started competing in various equine races. In 1999, he became a part of Saddle Seat equitation team of the US World Cup and eventually in 2009 they won the world championship. Kressley completed his graduation from Northwestern Lehigh School in the year 1987. Following this, he completed his joined the Gettysburg College and attained a degree in the year 1991.
Kressley started his career as a solo stylist and then in 1994, he started working for Ralph Lauren. It was not before 2003 that Kressley made his appearance into the world of movies and TV shows. With his debut reality show 'Queer Eye', Kressley rose to popularity and it was just because of this show that Kressley had begun to be recognized as 'fashion savant'. Kressley was one of the judges of the Miss Universe beauty pageant, Bangkok, Thailand for 2005 and then in 2006, he again appeared for the same beauty pageant but this time as a commentator. Later in February 2007, Kressley came up with his new show, 'How to Look Good Naked' that was aired on Lifetime. The makeover show was American adaptation of a British TV series. The show was broadcasted on January 4, 2008 and recorded a significant number of viewers- 1.6 million. The show became widely popular among the adults aged eighteen to forty nine including women. 'How to Look Good Naked' still holds the record of highest-rated debut episode of Lifetime.
Kressley then appeared on 'Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants' in 2007. He started a show named 'Carson Nation' in 2011 and hosted 'True Beauty'. In 2015, Carson was included into the judges’ panel for the seventh season of 'RuPaul's Drag Race'. Post the Queer Eye’s success, Carson made his debut into the world of acting. He portrayed a character of a bartender 'Lance' in 'The Perfect Man' alongside Hillary Duff and Heather Locklear. He also acted in three other movies: 'The Year Without a Santa Clause', a comedy movie '16 to Life' and 'It's Christmas, Carol.
Apart from these vocations, Kressley started his own brand of clothing for women and men in 2005, 'Perfect'. According to Kressley, his clothing line has been inspired by Ralph Lauren. He is also the author of three books: 'Off the cuff'(2004), 'You're Different and That's Super'(2005). He also co-authored 'Queen Eye for the Staright Guy'. In addition to this, Kressley owns American Saddlebred horses, appeared in 'Big Brother Australia' and is the minister of Universal Life Church. He won the Emmy Award for 'Queen Eye' as 'Outstanding Reality Program' in 2005. He even won the world title in equitation in 2009. Kressley is not married and has a net worth of around $7 million.
