Rumors had surfaced back in 2010 during the boot camp of X-Factor as she and fellow contestant Liam Payne seemed to click instantly and almost every other contestant felt there was some kind of spark between them, some were even surprised since neither knew each other before the auditions and had hit off, even before the start of the show. Some of them suggested, they quietly even got into a room together and came out red-faced, possibly trying to hide something. The affair though didn’t quite last long.

Cher, then got into another relationship within a few months with another fellow contestant, Zayn Malik, who was also a finalist of the same show. Although the show authorities had been strict with the rules that none of the participants would be allowed intimacy with each other, the show’s boss apparently kept quiet, despite knowing about their secret relationship, as soon as it started. The reason stated was that both were headstrong individuals and would go their own way against the rules, even after being stopped. Every other participant even got a taste of what was going on, when the couple supposedly kissed, in front of them!  Their mentor on the show, Cheryl Cole was even worried about their performances if they broke up, while the show was still on, considering both were mere 17-year olds. Nothing of that sort happened though but their relationship ended quite soon because of reasons not quite stated.

She even briefly got into another relationship with Essex  socialite Karim Roundi before breaking up again, this time after knowing that Roundi had cheated on her while she was busy recording her first singles track. She even made a public statement regarding the same about trust being an integral part of relationships and that she would possibly take the approval of her parents, before getting into a relation again.

Her growing attachment to Craig surfaced after quite a few rumors suggested the same. It was mainly because Monk posted a photo on his twitter account along with Cher with the two being in an embrace suggesting their closeness. One follower had even commented that Craig was lucky to have someone like Cher by his side to which Monk had jokingly replied back that Cher thought she was rather lucky to have Monk. Her growing popularity and her singles topping the charts of almost every list in the UK forced her to be adamant and maintain secrecy with her relation with current husband Craig. Their marriage is reported to be going smoothly so far and one would wonder if it would last long considering the long list of relations Cher has had but divorce is not foreseeable, at the moment.
