Chris Gailus is a famous Canadian television host who was born on October 27, 1967. He is a successful news anchor with over twenty years of experience in the competitive field of journalism.
Chris graduated with a degree in Journalism from Mount Royal University, where he achieved academic excellence and played on the basketball team. Chris was interested in the field of journalism ever since his childhood. He was confident and sure of himself when choose journalism as his career path. It was no surprise to his friends and family that he majored in Broadcast Journalism. He also got into the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence during his college tenure.
To this day, Chris remains thankful to his basketball coach, Bob Rose, who “took a chance on a skinny high school kid from northeast Calgary to bolster his roster on the Mount Royal College, as it was then, Cougars men's basketball team."
After graduating in 1989, Chris worked as a reporter in Lethbridge. He covered social, agricultural, and municipal issues during his early days. Later, in 1992, he came back to Calgary as a host and reporter for CFCN. He then went on to Global Calgary to become their primary news host.
During the year 2000, the Canadian television news anchor traveled to the United States of America to anchor a morning newscast at the ABC Affiliate at Dallas, Texas.
