Chris O’Donnell was born on June 26, 1970 in Winnetka, Illinois. Chris' father, Charles O’ Donnell was a Senior Manager at WBBM-AM, which is a CBS radio station. Chris was a part of a huge family in which there were seven children, and he was the youngest among them. With four sisters and two brothers, his childhood was spent as the little lovely brother. He was raised in a Roman Catholic family and he went to Roman Catholic school. He got involved in modeling when he was 13 years old and was featured in commercials. He completed his college graduation in 1998.

As a popular leading man, Chris had the option to be a playboy and have fun but he chose to be a family guy and be a faithful husband. Chris O’Donnell is married to Caroline Fentress and has a beautiful 16-year relationship with his wife. They have five children together.

Chris O’Donnell first got noticed when he acted in a commercial for McDonald’s. He made his first TV appearance in a series called Jack and Mike in the year 1986. When he was 17, he got an opportunity to audition for a film called, ‘Men Don’t Leave’ and luckily, he got selected for the role. In the 1990s, Chris acted in a couple of successful movies. He was among the 12 most promising new actors of 1992, according to John Willi’s Screen World.

It was never an easy job for Chris to become an actor; Chris had this feeling of being unlucky as he was rejected many times, without any good reason being given to him. However, he decided not to give up and continued his journey towards fame.

After finding some initial success, Chris got a role in the movie ‘Blue Sky’ and ‘Circle of Friends’. O’Donnell created an all new image of himself, by playing the character of Robin in Batman Forever. O’Donnell had to compete with a lot of talented actors to win this role as the popular comic book character. In a talk show of young kids, when it was asked which of these actors would win in a fistfight, most of the audience chose Chris O’Donnell.

Chris O’Donnell was considered as the favorite choice of 20th Fox Century Studios to play the role of Jack Dawson in Titanic, but unfortunately, he didn’t get it, and the role was assigned to Leonardo DiCaprio. Chris didn’t get signed up for any movie for the next two years. He was recommended for roles of lead actors in many famous movies like Men in Black and The Bachelor but was not able to secure the roles. Every time he got close, he was beaten out by another actor. Some people felt that the box office flop of Batman and Robin had damaged his reputation. However, Chris came back in 2004, in a TV sitcome called Two and a Half Men, which won him a ton of comedic praise all over the country.
