Chris Parnell

Thomas Christopher Parnell was born in 1967, on February 5 in Memphis, Tennessee. His both parents were Baptists. Parnell attended Germantown High School. After finishing his high school, Thomas enrolled as a student in the University of North Carolina. He received his Bachelor's degree in Drama. After he was done with his studies, the actor moved back to his hometown and worked as a film and acting teacher. His passion for acting was too big and he decided that the best course of action would be to move to Los Angeles and begin a career as a professional performer.

Career

After moving to Los Angeles, he spent many years performing with improvisation group called "The Groundlings". The first time Parnell appeared on television was early fall of 1998 when he joined Saturday Night Live. The role he had did not last for a very long time since the show had to cut people due to low budget. Thomas was one of the people who were fired but fortunately for him, he was rehired. During his SNL career Chris Parnell performed in a vast number of different parodies, impressions, and sketches. The actor is also known for his singing abilities. He has shown numerous times that he can be a great singer with his performances. He did rap parodies about celebrities like Britney Spears or Ashton Kutcher.

Parnell has also made his mark in movies and TV shows. He was on Glee and Seinfeld, had a recurring role in satirical TV comedy 30 Rock and most recently appeared Dan Goor's sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

In terms of the movies Parnell was on, Adam McKay's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Christopher Miller's 21 Jump Street are two that come to mind.

It is not a stretch when you say that Parnell's voice is more recognizable than his face when it comes to him working as an actor. He voiced such memorable characters like Cyril Figgis in an adult animated series Archer, Mr. Fly on both Hotel Transylvania and Hotel Transylvania: 2 and most recently he was cast as a series regular on Adult Swim's animated science fiction show Rick and Morty where Chris Parnell voices Morty's father Jerry Smith.
