Christel Khalil married musician Stephen Hensley in 2008. Their wedding included several of Khalil's co-stars from The Young and the Restless, with Elizabeth Hendrickson serving as bridesmaid and Bryton James as groomsman. In 2010, Khalil gave birth to a son via water birth. Actor Bryton James is the child's godfather, while actress Fadhia Carmelle Marcelin is the godmother. The couple amicably separated in 2011 and finalized their divorce that same year. They continue to share custody of their son.

Following her divorce, Khalil was in a long-term relationship with musician Ray Wicks, which lasted for four years. In 2016, she began a relationship with Sam Restagno, a venture capitalist based in Toronto.

Early Acting Inspiration and Education

Khalil's interest in acting began at a young age. At just five years old, she appeared in Dragon Fury and The Sinbad Show. She continued to pursue her passion throughout her adolescence, attending high school and later studying acting at the university level, further refining her craft for a successful career in entertainment.
