Born on the 13th of March 1956, 59 year old Dana Delany is a remarkable actress today. She was born in New York City. Her parents were Mary and jack Delany. She is of British-Irish ethnicity and grew up as a Roman Catholic. Acting was her dream for life, even when she was a child. She was quite fascinated while seeing stage shows and theatre performances. Her family often used to catch up with theatre shows in Broadway. Dana grew up in Stamford, Connecticut and later she took an important step towards her passion of acting which was joining the Philips Academy in Andover Massachusetts. Dana admits her time at the academy was the best time of her life. In her final year, she was the member of the school’s first co-ed class which also included a few eminent personalities like Julian Hatton, and Sara Nelson. She was also featured in the school’s production of South Pacific in the lead female role. Her college ended with flying colors when she was one of the 80 out of 378 students to achieve the honor of ‘cum laude.’ Following her predestined path, she majored in theatre arts from the Wesleyan University in the year 1978.
Acting was her destiny and she started off with daily soap operas in New York City. Her Broadway theatre act in the show Kazan’s off-Broadway Blood earned her critical appreciation. After a few more well acclaimed works she stepped in Hollywood and started working in cameos for television shows like Magnum and P.I. She then bagged the protagonist role in China Beach, a weekly show which was aired from 1988 to 1991. Her strong performance brought her two Emmy Awards. She was slowly and steadily gaining name in the show business as she appeared a few TV movies like Fly Away Home and Housesitter and Exit to Eden. Dana reprised at her alma mater in May 2007, where she worked with the theatre students. On return she again starred in TV movies True Woman and Resurrection and Family Law. Delany has been a woman of movies and TV shows. She has been in the on the animated batman feature film, Batman: Mask of Phantasm. Her voice did miracles for her and later she was a part of Superman: The Animated Series, in the portrayal of Lois Lane. The character turned out to be her trademark and she even portrayed it in the 2013 movie Justice League: The Flashpoint.
