Collaborations with Mariah Carey and Madonna

In 1993, Hall co-produced "Dreamlover" for Mariah Carey’s multi-platinum album Music Box. Their successful partnership continued with the song "Fantasy" on her 1995 album Daydream. His growing reputation secured him collaborations with Madonna, notably contributing to her 1994 album Bedtime Stories, including the well-known single "Human Nature."

Dave Hall expanded his portfolio by working with a variety of artists throughout the 1990s. He produced for Donell Jones, Brownstone ("If You Love Me" and "Grapevyne"), and Joe ("Baby Don’t Stop" in 1992). He also worked with Usher on tracks including "The Many Ways" for Usher's 1994 debut album. In addition, he collaborated with CeCe Peniston during this period.

His remix work includes the hit duet "Scream" by Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson (1995), as well as Tina Turner’s rendition of "GoldenEye" for the James Bond film of the same name.

Hall also served as a music consultant for Sony Music from 1994 to 1996, lending his expertise during a pivotal era for the label.

Personal Life

Dave Hall was previously married to comedian and actress Wanda Sykes. Their marriage lasted from 1991 until 1998. Years after their divorce, Sykes publicly came out as a lesbian in 2008 and married her partner, Alex Niedbalski, with whom she has two children born in 2009.

Known for being private about his personal life, Dave Hall currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
