David Haffenreffer

David and Lara had two children together; their first child, Duff Haffenreffer, was born in 2001. Two years later, their second child, daughter Katherine Haffenreffer, was born. After a 15-year-long union, David and his award-winning wife decide to end their marriage. When asked about his divorce, David explained that the two took that step after deep consideration and great consternation. Despite the divorce, the couple remained great friends as they felt a healthy relationship would be the best thing for their children. David and his wife still love each other in many ways, and they treasure and care for the well-being of their family.

Part of David’s reasoning for his career change from journalism to real estate was to spend more time with his children. It is reported that David’s split with his wife was because Lara was not home much due to work commitments, which created a rift in the couple’s love life. After the divorce, David intended to move on from his marriage and even planned to relocate his business to avoid memories related to his married life. After her divorce from David, Lara married Wall Street financier and multimillionaire Rick McVey, CEO of Marketaxess Holdings Inc., an online bond trading company.

As a real estate broker, David markets his business on social media. David enlightens the public on possible business ideas and posts some of the real estate deals he has been able to seal on Twitter @Haffenreffer and on his Facebook page titled Greenwich Real Estate. David has more than 5,000 followers on the two platforms combined. David formulates unique ideas and concepts that appeal to his audience and gets the job done, enabling him to care and provide for his two children. David has, over the years, been able to keep out of the public and does not reveal unnecessary information.

David’s wife Lara earned a more significant amount of income during their marriage, but David reportedly comes from old money. It has been reported that an ancestor established the Haffenreffer brewery in 1870, which was sold to the Falstaff Brewing Corporation in 1965 for more than seventeen million dollars. That aside, with many years of hard work and determination, David has been able to sustain himself and his family and has amassed his impressive wealth. After receiving a salary from one of the leading broadcasting networks for over ten years and later venturing into real estate, it is assumed that David has a reasonable sum of money in the bank. However, exact numbers are not precisely disclosed to the public. David currently lives in a mansion based in Greenwich, Connecticut, and runs a Greenwich Digs Real Estate blog.
