Diana Margaret Susan Bentley was born in London, Ontario, Canada. Her interest in acting began early; in her final year of high school, she portrayed the character Rosalind in William Shakespeare’s As You Like It. She pursued her passion for literature and the arts by earning a Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (BHA) degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto. Following her undergraduate studies, she trained in classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in the United Kingdom.
After completing her formal training, Bentley joined the Soulpepper Theatre Company, a well-regarded ensemble based in Toronto. She later co-founded Rogue Theatre, further establishing herself in Canada’s theatrical community.
Bentley's work spans film, television, and stage. In 2016, she appeared in several notable independent films, including We're Still Together, An American Dream: The Education of William Bowman, and The Other Half. That same year, she was featured in the historical drama television series Frontier, which aired on Discovery Canada and Netflix.
