Diane Alexander is the wife of American singer Lionel Richie who was born on June 16, 1967. Little is known about Alexander's early life but it is known she entered into a relationship with musician Lionel Richie which began in 1984 at the Olympics. She made headlines when she embarrassed and attacked the musician at a Beverly Hills Hotel in 1988. The attack stemmed from a disagreement over their secret relationship which was made headlines. The pair were later married on December 21, 1995, ten years after meeting at the Olympics. A year before their wedding, the couple had their first son who they named Miles Brockman Richie. Richie was born on May 27, 1994. On August 1998 the couple had another child, this time a girl named Sofia Richie who Alexander loves posting photos of on social media. The pair divorced in 2003 citing irreconcilable differences between them.

During the divorce, Alexander demanded a payment of $300,000 from Richie to cover the children's welfare and other personal expenses. It is not clear if Richie paid the $300,000 or if another amount was settled upon. Alexander went on to date Dave Kenney, a Ventura County Sheriff and is rumored to have also dated reality show star and Scott Disick.
