Dion Lewis

Dion Lewis was born in the year 1990 and he is American football running back who plays in New England Patriots for NFL. He got drafted and joined Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 at fifth round. He was playing at College Football from university in Pittsburgh. Lewis also played for Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns.  His teammate Julian Edelman in Patriots, called him Little Dirty and Jitterbug. He did not play for two seasons and he signed for Patriots in 2015. He contributed greatly to the offense of New England but he failed to finish the season because he suffered injury in the week 9.

Dion Lewis is a native of New York and he attended Albany High School and afterwards, he transferred to go to Albany Academy and Blair Academy when he led the team to reach to 17-1 record for the two final seasons.  The winnings were for New Jersey Prep State and MAPL championship title.

For college stats, Dion Lewis attended twelve regular season game for 2009 and he accumulated 1,640 rushing yards with 17 rushing touchdowns. He made 180 yards with two touchdowns for 2009 victory over Rutgers. Because of his performance, he was featured in different news outlet and he was considered to be a candidate for Heisman Trophy. Lewis had over 100 yards plus rushing game for the season against Syracuse.

For his professional career, Dion Lewis started with Philadelphia Eagles and was 149th pick for the fifth round during the nfl draft of 2011.  He was given a contract of four years and it was worth 2.2 million dollars starting from July of 2011. Cleveland Browns traded Emmanuel Acho for Dion Lewis. He did not play for the entire season because he had fractured fibula. He got cut in 2014 by Cleveland Browns.  He signed for a short period with Indianapolis Colts and afterwards he signed for New England Patriots for reserve and future contract. He made the team of 53-man roster and he played the first game in September. When he played in the place of LeGarrette Blount, he made 120 yards for the scrimmage. After playing for three games, he signed the contract of two years with Patriots and it is running until 2017 season. The contract included 1.8million as incentive and 600,000 dollars as signing bonus.  In November,  Lewi suffered the torn ACL against the Washington Redskins and this made him to miss the season of 2015. He had to be placed on the injured reserve.

Lewis was a letterman for three years for track and field for Blair academy and he competed in the sprints, relays and long jump.  The information about her college years and the career stats before the injury can be found online.  He decided to forgo the senior and junior seasons so that he can be drafted by NFL.
