Dj Khaled’s real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled and he was born in 1975. DJ Khaled is his professional name. He is a DJ, a record label executive, radio personality and a record producer of American citizenship. Before, he was called Arab Attack but after the attacks of 9/11, he changed the name since he did not want to look insensitive. He worked like a host of an urban music radio station based in Miami called WEDR and then he was a DJ for a hip hop group called Terror Squad. Since 2004 until 2006, Khaled assisted in production of hip-hop albums; Fabolous’s Real Talk, Terror Squads’ True Story, Fat Joe’s All or Nothing and Fat Joe’s Me, Myself &I.

From his biography, Dj Khaled was born in New Orleans in the city of Louisiana and the parents are Palestinians who immigrated to live in United States. He described himself to be a devout Muslim and the parents were musicians while they liked to play Arabic Music. Khaled had an interest in the rap and in soul music when he was still young and the parents supported this interest. He took up the work in the local recording store and helped in laying the foundation for the music career.
When he started the career, Khaled had alliances with other young artists and helped to champion them before they became the major stars like Mavado, Lil Wayne and Birdman. It was among the first jobs that he had in New Orleans record store under the name of Odyssey and it is where he met Lil Wayne and Birdman in the year 1993. When he left Odyssey, he started to DJ in reggae soundclashes and in mixing the hip hop and dancehall. The first radio gig was on the Pirate station and after that, he was the co-host of 2 Live Crew with Luther Campbell on WEDR radio called The Luke Show of 1998. In the year 2003, he started to host the weeknight radio show at WEDR. He had used many names including Terror Squadian, Big dog Pitbull and Arab Attack.
