Sher was born on December 26, 1991 in LA. Her parents are Jewish. She was raised by her single mom who worked as a teacher. She has 2 siblings, an older brother and a younger one, she also has 3 dogs. She began her acting career at the age of eight by joining some school plays and singing her elementary school songs.

Career:

Sher starred in different television series, but most of them was cancelled later or her character was terminated. Her role as "Sue Heck" in a series called "The Middle" made her shine as it was a permanent role. "Sue Heck" was a quirky but optimistic teenager. Sue made Sher win the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. She also played "Gretchen" in the comedy drama series "Weeds", her character was a middle school love interest for Alexander Gould, a main character in the series. She was assigned the role of "Carrie Fenton" on "Sons & Daughters" in the same year, the series was cancelled after only 11 episodes. She also appeared in a short film called "Stuck". She has done numerous commercials, including voice-over work. Her net worth is estimated to be around 2 million dollars.

In an interview, she was asked about her audition when she first came to the show, Sher thought that she had a little bit more of a tumultuous auditioning process because she felt like difficult time casting not just because she didn’t know, but they had such vague idea, and also so specific, which is kind of the curse of having a beloved character and having such little idea of how someone could execute it. She said that she went through months and months of auditioning and has been 100% confident that they hated her because they kept bringing her in, and every time they’d say it was a callback, there would be more and different girls there. She said that she thought that it wasn't a call back but these are new auditions and they may have forgot they saw her already.

Internet Phobia:

When she was asked about her social media, she said that on one hand she is really, really not a fan of the internet in general. She has a sort of general phobia of the internet and doesn’t really want it that much. But then on the other hand, she feels like that sometimes not responding to fans on the internet can be misconstructed as ingratitude and she doesn’t want to feel like ungrateful. She said that she is so grateful for all of the fans and she thinks that it’s so awesome that they want to know information, personal or they want to be involved. And she is so happy to be involved, she wants to share herself and let them know that she is grateful but really, she is not the biggest user of social media and the internet in general.

The Emotionary:

Being a deep thinker has given her some thoughts for side projects, such as the website "The Emotionary". It is going to be released in a book form as well, Sher creates words for real emotions, often smashing two known words together.

She said that it was something that she have been working on for so long, and she is ready to take over the world all of her feelings, thinking about evolving, changing and what she has learned. She said that she feels that way about The Emotionary. She thought that it became something larger than she ever thought. It was just a thing in her journal.
