Aleisha Allen was born on April 28, 1991, in Rochester, New York, U.S.A. She enjoyed success from a young age as an American child actress and model. Ever since the young age of 4, Allen was driven to act in television and as a print model. By the age of 5, she had already secured a role on a successful children's show where she is credited as LaNae Allen. in 2005, Allen attended the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, New York. After graduating in Manhattan, Allen enrolled at Pace University as a theater major.
She became best known for her first role as "Sidetable Drawer" on the children's television series "Blue's Clues" which maintained for an impressive run from 1996 to 2004. Soon after the success of "Blue's Clues" came to an end, Allen found herself cast in a motion picture with comedian and actor Jack Black in 2003 and in a little film titled "School of Rock". Allen would go on to play Lindsey in the 2005 film "Are We There Yet?". After the film's successful release, a sequel was created two years later and Allen returned in 2007's "Are We Done Yet".
Career:
Acting since the age of 5, Allen has been an exceptional case of child acting success. Her work on "Blue's Clues" ended in 1996 but the show would continue on for another decade until August 6, 2006. Allen would star alongside rapper Ice Cube in the films "Are We There Yet" in 2005 and "Are We Done Yet", It's 2007 sequel. Other films Allen is credited in include, 1999's "The Best Man", 2000's "Blue's Big Musical Movie", and the PBS remake show "The Electric Company" in 2000. In 2003, Allen would be cast as a student in Jack Black's 2003 comedy "School of Rock". Her role in the film would earn her an MTV Movie Awards nomination for Best On-Screen Team in 2004.
Even after eight years since her last publicly acknowledged relationship, Allen has yet to tie the knot or even change her relationship status on Facebook. The only photos of her online with another boy are with Tahj and Philip leading some speculation as to whether she was homosexual. Allen has never commented directly on her sexuality and all her female relationships are perfectly normal and held up to fan scrutiny. She does a good job at keeping her private life to herself and shutting down any rumors before they even get started. Some speculate she may have lost all hope in men after her first two failed relationships.
The reality is that Allen is very young, with much of her early years still ahead of her. There is no reason for her to become bogged down by a dramatic celebrity relationship while she has the opportunity to pursue her passions without being tied down. Her previous lovers have refused to indulge any secrets about their affairs, this calls to question whether her former lovers were offered money to keep silent and perhaps Allen had cheated on them. It is safe to assume, the last decade has been spent rebuilding her life and piecing her childhood back together. Perhaps she is only processing it now because it went by so fast before. After all, not many people become successful television stars at the age of 5 and grow up in that environment unscathed. Even extreme cases of child stardom, such as a Justin Bieber for example, would still have a lasting impact on that child's view of reality.

In 2011, Allen appeared in the film "Young Adult", not long after the 2011 film she would take another acting role. In 2012, Allen went on to play Sarah Johnson in "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Kills You". Having somewhat of a unique presence on screen has perhaps limited her casting potential to particular roles which is called "typecasting" in the business and its the last thing an actor wants. Perhaps her early years of on-screen performances where she appeared as a student and a young child were acceptable but now that she has grown up perhaps she does not exude that same onscreen charisma her younger, innocent self once possessed.
Personal Life:
Although Aleisha Allen maybe young, she has had a number of notable affairs to date. Her long list of failed relationships with boyfriends includes Philip Bolden and Tahj Mowry. She dated Tahj when she was young and reports that the pair broke up later the same year. There is no reason stated by Allen as to why the relationship ended and Tahj would not shed any light on the issue either. It is known the pair were very young when they began to date and perhaps as they matured, as people do they soon grew to be incompatible.
It is not uncommon for Allen to go weeks or months without appearing in the media either in online publications or on social media. She tends to keep quiet when it comes to her private life with the media, many celebrities keep low profiles when they have a significant other or some other spouse they are trying to keep private which has certainly fueled the fan speculation around Allen. Going to school while being engaged in a full-time acting career is no easy task for a young mind to balance. The fact that Allen appears to have come through the childhood star experience with a relatively stable head on her shoulders speaks volumes to her character.
In 2018, it is difficult to find any mention of Allen in recent headlines and it appears she has kept her acting credentials to a minimum during this time as well. Perhaps she is discovering a new path and acting may not be in her future. Allen periodically posts photos of herself to her social media accounts including Instagram and Facebook. Other than the occasional new portrait, there has been little news from Allen about what her future holds in store and where envisions herself in the next ten years.
