Allison Chinchar is a CNN and HLN meteorologist in the United States. Allison Chinchar can be seen on CNN's "New Day Weekend," CNN International programs, and HLN's "Weekend Express" regularly. In the broadcasting profession, she is well-known. Similarly, the attractive anchor is famous for her marriage to meteorologist and storm hunter Mike Bettes.
Allison Chinchar was born in the city of Mansfield, Ohio, on April 9, 1984. She began her career as a weathercaster for WTVC-TV, a local television station. She earned her bachelor's degree from Ohio State University, and she is currently working for HLN Weekend Express, CNN, and CNN International.
Her childhood days are not well known, but family and friends say that she was always interested in changing weather, storms, and tornadoes. Her childhood curiosity about how the earth worked prompted her to choose weather forecasting as a career.
She started her weather forecasting career working for Buckeye TV as a meteorologist back in 2006. At the network, she produced and anchored weather forecasting segments. She also once worked along with her twin sister. She once worked with The Weather Channel, but that job was only part-time.
In 2007, she joined WCMH TV, where she worked for a few months as the daily weather reporter, and from there, she moved on to working with many other channels. Currently, she works at CNN, which is a significant accomplishment for any anchor because of how extensive the network is. She is very humble and also very hardworking. These traits make weather channels want to hire her for large amounts of money, which explains her million-dollar net worth.
Allison's notable work credentials include weekend evening meteorologist for WTVC-TV NewsChannel9 (2008 to 2011), weekend evening meteorologist for WKRN-TV (2011-2012), weekend meteorologist for NBC affiliate WXIA TV (11 Alive, 2012 to 2015), and meteorologist for CNN (2015 to present, HLN Weekend Express, CNN, and CNN International)
Since Allison is an Atmospheric Science and Meteorology graduate from Ohio State University, she was well prepared for her career. She is also an active member of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and the NWS (National Weather Services). Allison also knows a bit of American Sign Language, enough to converse with someone who is deaf. Her organizational members are a reflection of how much a good world citizen she is.
She was part of the famous 11 Alive's weather team, known by the term dubbed "Storm Trackers." The team included reputed meteorologists such as chief meteorologist Chris Holcomb, Chesley McNeil, Samantha Mohr, and Humphrey. Her team liked her well because of her sweet, charming personality.
In her impressive career, she has covered numerous critical weather conditions such as 2010's tornado outbreak, Hurricane Isaac, and the devastating tornado crossing the Chickamauga dam.
Allison is happy that she gets to help people from what she is doing. However, her dedication to weather is not risk-free, as chasing extreme weather conditions like storms and tornados is often risky. Her husband experienced firsthand an incident that changed their outlook on life. However, they were able to both move on from the horrific incident.

The incident took place in 2013 when Allison's husband Mike was working for The Weather Channel and experienced a devastating tornado in El, Reno, Oklahoma. He had to get stitched on his left hand. The SUV he was in was thrown off by 200 yards by the vicious tornado after taking it up 30 feet up in the year.
The tornado incident made the couple highly emotional. In interviews, Allison has said that Mike is usually nervous when she chases storms and tornados. After the incident, Mike took a break from chasing tornados. Notably, the couple learned something from Mike's tornado injury. They discovered no harm in maintaining a little distance from tornados, as life is far too precious to take risks like the one Mike took. Even though it would be great to capture excellent footage, it is not worth a life.
Allison is quite well off and can retire to enjoy a lavish and relaxing life, but her love for the weather and adventure pushes her to keep working as a meteorologist.
Allison met her husband, Mike Bettes, in a weather conference, and the couple got engaged and tied the knot in 2012 in Atlanta as they thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. Being in the same profession made things easy because they could easily relate to each other.
In 2015, the couple had their first child, a boy they named Landen Benjamin Bettes. Rumors of the couple planning to divorce circulated with news of the couple growing annoyed with each other because there was no novelty in their marriage. There is also speculation that Mike's tornado incident shook him and changed his values. He no longer had an interest in maintaining a steady relationship with Allison. But The couple proved all to be wrong.
Allison's hobbies include running marathons running, kayaking, spending time with family, friends, and her golden retriever Joppy, who was rescued from the Joplin Missouri EF5 tornado. She loves weather, space, and animals. Allison is an introvert by nature, as noticed by her colleagues. She does not share much about her personal life and prefers sticking to a strict professional approach.
Allison is active on social media, and people can follow her on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Allison is drop-dead gorgeous and has a charming personality. Many of her social media followers are males that are attracted to her beauty. She is always up for helping someone out if they need it, a trait that makes her very approachable.
