<a href="/biography/brendan-fraser">Brendan James Fraser</a> was born on December 3, 1968 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brendan is an American <a href="/biography/brendan-fraser">film actor</a> who is most famous for his role as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_O'Connell">Rick O’Connell</a> in the Mummy film franchise. He was also the George in the movie George of the Jungle.

Upbringing

Brendan’s father, Peter Fraser is a Canada based travel executive and married to his sweetheart, Carol Frazer. Brendan is youngest of four siblings. The names of his siblings are Kevin Fraser, Sean Fraser and Regan Fraser. Brendan was brought up in three countries during his life. He enjoyed being raised in Geneva, Canada and Holland. His ancestry can be traced back to Ireland Scotland, Germany and France.

He completed his education at the Cornish College of Arts in Seattle, Washington. He also holds a dual citizenship in two countries, Canada and America. Brendan is a fluent <a href="/biography/brendan-fraser">speaker</a> of both the English and French languages.

Film Career

Brandan was once considered to play the role of famous comic book character, Superman, for the 2006 movie, Superman Returns. He was also discussed to play the famous <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed_Richards">character</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed_Richards">Mr.</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed_Richards">Fantastic</a> in the 2005 movie, Fantastic Four.

During the 2000s, Brendan was on a hot run and hard to turn many roles down. He was the primary choice to play the lead title role in the 1999 movie, Inspector Gadget. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Broderick">Matthew Broderick</a> bagged the role instead. While he was filiming Bedazzled in 2001, he had to turn down a role in The Wedding Planner due to scheduling conflicts since he was overbooked. Eventually, <a href="/biography/matthew-mcconaughey">Matthew McConaughey</a> ended up getting the role instead.

Fraser had signed up for a film about <a href="/biography/william-tell">William Tell</a>, but he ended up in a legal dispute with the filmmakers over production delays. He also dropped out of a television pilot for a series over creative differences in 2012.

They started dating and after five years of courtship, they got married. Afton and Brendan had their wedding in a garden at a famous luxury hotel in LA. Brendan has three sons from this marriage.

Brendan is a very down to earth person who is known for being very approachable to his fans, even when he meets them on the street. He earned most of his devoted fans when he played a cave man that traveled to modern times in the 90s classic, Encino Man.

Divorce Trouble

His first child, Griffin Arthur was born on September 17, 2002 and his second child, named Holden Fletcher was born on August 16, 2004. Fifteen years later, Afton gave birth to their third son, named Leland, on May, 2 2016 in California. A year after his third son was born, he announced that he decided to get a divorce from his wife.

Their divorce settlement was not pretty. Afton asked for 900 thousand dollars per year for alimony and child support payments. He said that he would not be able to pay such an amount because is was too large an amount for every year. He said that he only able to pay 50 thousand dollars per month. Afton accused her ex husband of hiding financial assets.

After being ordered to pay 300 thousand dollars in child support, Brendan wanted to find a way reduce his alimony after suffering a serious injury. He was advised not to perform stunts which decreased the prospects of making more income. He submitted documents to the court and asked to reduce the alimony. The court approved his request and reduced the child support payments by 50 thousand dollars.

In 2013, he again stated that he was having issues paying the child support. His ex wife claimed that he was hiding 9 million dollars from the movie he signed up for when they were about to get divorced. Brendan said that most of his movies are not yet released and he had no other movies lined up which made him broke. Afton was not ready to talk about her personal problems to the public. She just wanted Brendan to pay the amount that she felt she deserved.

Another Woman

Though the separation settlement is very much in the public, Brendan has not wanted to talk about it to the media. They both did not want to comment on the actual reason for the separation too. The reason for the separation is said to be an actress named <a href="/biography/maria-bello">Maria Bello</a>. Brendan became very close with <a href="/biography/maria-bello">Maria</a> on the movie sets when they were filming in China. Their flirting affair was well known on the set. Bello is a single mom.

After the separation, <a href="/biography/maria-bello">Maria</a> and Brendan were never seen together so it is assumed to just be a rumor. <a href="/biography/maria-bello">Maria</a> did not comment on whether she was the reason for the separation and why they broke up. Brendan also did not comment on the rumors. There are claims that their relationship cannot be denied because whole Mummy crew knew the relationship between him and <a href="/biography/maria-bello">Maria</a> while shooting in China.

In 2014, there were rumours that Brendan was dating <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_Mann">Leslie Mann</a>, his <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_Mann">co-star</a> in George of the Jungle but it most likely false since <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_Mann">Leslie Mann</a> has been happily married to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judd_Apatow">Judd Apatow</a>, since 1997.
