Grant Masaru Imahara was born on October 23, 1970. Though he initially considered a career in screenwriting, he ultimately pursued engineering and established himself as a leading figure in electronics and robotics. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering.
