Henry Winkler is known as an American actor. He is most famous for his portrayal of Fonzie on 'Happy Days.'
Henry Franklin Winkler was born on October 30, 1945, in New York City. As a bubbly kid, he adored performing and by the age of 14, Winkler chose to turn into an actor. His amazing tryout won him acceptance into Yale University's Drama School. At Yale, Winkler committed his life to performing, regularly practicing one play by day and performing in another by night. After graduation, he moved back to New York to get on Broadway.
In 1973, Winkler moved to Los Angeles to take shots at a career in TV. Inside about fourteen days, he won a part as Valerie Harper's date on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and pursued with a greater role on The Bob Newhart Show. Following a month in Los Angeles, Winkler was yearning to go home for life in New York and chose to move back. Before gathering his bags and gear he went on one final tryout, for the role of a biker in producer Garry Marshall's new TV series, Happy Days. Marshall initially imagined a major hunky Italian in the part, yet after Winkler's tryout, his search for his character was happily done.
After the end of Happy Days, Winkler started his very own production organization and proceeded to produce the effective TV series Ryan's Four and MacGyver, and furthermore directed the movie Memories of Me (1988). Proceeding with his acting career, he has performed in such films as the high schooler horror hit Scream (1996), The Waterboy (1998), featuring Adam Sandler, the Emmy-winning TV series The Practice and Arrested Development.
In September 2019, Bill Hader won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the work he's done on Barry. Winkler has a big supporting role on the show and was proud of his co-star's honor.
Winkler married his spouse Stacey Weitzman on May 5, 1978. He is a devoted father to their two children and also as a stepfather to Weitzman's child from a past marriage. His devotion to children stretches out past his family. He filled in as the producer of All the Kids are Doing It and Strong Kids, Safe Kids and is a promoter for a few gatherings that help oppressed children. He is also engaged with the Epilepsy Foundation, Toys for Tots and other altruistic associations.
