Ian Prange is the son of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Prange">Gregory Prange</a> who won the ALMA, American Latino Media Arts Award in 2001 for Outstanding Director of a drama series. Greg was the Executive Producer and Director of Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill. He was nominated for directing Dawson’s Creek. Other nominations include Primetime Emmy Award in 1998 for Outstanding Editing for a Miniseries or a Special - Single Camera Production. His other Emmy nomination was for To Heal a Nation who he shared with Millie Moore.

At first glance, Ian is a good looking man with a beautiful smile framed by an unshaven beard very picturesque with any photos you find of he and his wife. A man very kept to himself; it is not even known where he was born or the date of his birth. After the divorce with his wife, Ian seemingly disappeared from any interviews or social media altogether choosing to focus on work and nothing more evidently heartbroken at the end of their relationship. There has not been a single word of him being engaged, possibly married or even dating.

Best known for One Tree Hill, Ian is equally known for his famous <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">wife</a>, <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie Burton</a>. It is evident the two fell in love while working together on the set of One Tree Hill. Pictures show both of them to have a close and relatively compatible relationship, but while these pictures led onlookers to believe this, their marriage ended the same year as One Tree Hill in 2009. Perhaps it is too much to speculate that one caused the other, forcing them to stop the show due to the ending of their relationship for a sad ending.

It is unknown what exactly brought about the divorce. While both have kept relatively secret, low profile lives, away from the prying eyes of media and paparazzi, very little is known about Ian as he keeps no social media accounts. There is talk that it may have been due to <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a>’s busy schedule and that she was the one to initiate the breakup, but who’s to blame is undecided and will never be revealed. While for those years many heard her praise Ian for his constant understanding of her ever full and busy schedule, and how working together on the set of One Tree Hill brought them both much joy, with the divorce we are led to believe otherwise.

The two wed in 2004, <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> was 22 at the time and divorced in 2009 with a marriage of five years. <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> won Hollywood Film in a category of Ensemble Acting of the Year, which was shared with the cast, for her movie The Secret Life of Bees. <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> owns her own production company along with Nick Gray, Kelly Tenny, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Burton">James Burton</a> and Meg Mortimer called Southern Gothic Production dubbed (SoGoPro).

<a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie Ross Burton</a> was born July 1, 1982, in Sterling, Virginia. Her Father is a former Green Beret, and her Mother is a real estate agent. <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> is the eldest of four children, being the only girl of three brothers. She graduated from Park View School in 2000, where she was the <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">student council treasurer</a> in her second year and vice-president junior year.

It was through her role as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyton_Sawyer">Peyton Sawyer</a> on One Tree Hill during the years 2003-2009 that <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie Burton</a> gained her fame Just as she was n One Tree Hill <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> in real life was the leader of her high school cheerleading squad. Before her role on One Tree Hill, during her time as a University Student at New York University and then followed by Fordham University, <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> while initially a guest on MTV’s Total Request Live but afterward landed a full-time job on the show as a VJ since they loved her so much. <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a> is now married to Dean Morgan. The first announcement of their relationship in April 2010 right on the red carpet surprised everyone. The two married in 2014 and had been secretly dating since 2009. Despite what media had claimed, the two were not yet married before she was pregnant as Dean’s schedule was too busy for them to have enough time to enjoy a wedding. In 2010, she gave birth to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustus">Augustus</a> their first child and only son, who it took her months to relay his name, being a self-proclaimed overprotective Mother. It was then announced that the two would be having a baby girl in September 2017; even if they had not said anything <a href="/biography/hilarie-burton">Hilarie</a>’s baby bump was sure to see through her dress at the event in September. The four of them now own a farm in New York’s Hudson Valley where they raise cattle and Chickens. She claims when the two first met, they had talked about holding a farm together and eventually made it a reality.

Ian is an executive producer and director of One Tree. He is most well known for holding the position of the second director in the Television series: Tammy (2014), The Devil’s (2014), Revolution, (2012-2013) and Sleepy Hollow (2013).

Other than these works, Ian Prange has served as the second director in the following shows as well: Bolden, The Resident (2018), Ozark (2017), Containment (2016), United Paranormal Project (2016), Secrets and Lies (2015), Hornet’s Nest (2012), Game Time: Tackling the Past (2011), Eastbound & Down (2009), and Dawson’s Creek (2002).

Serving the role as miscellaneous crewmember Ian was a staff assistant for Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisters in 2002 and a set production assistant on Dawson’s Creek for season 2 through 4 in 1998.
