James Haggar was born on July 23, 1973, in Edgbaston, England. He is a British actor and director, recognized both for his contributions to film and television and for being the husband of British journalist Naga Munchetty.
James Haggar began his career in the film industry in 1999, working as an assistant director on the short thriller Simon Sez. He went on to serve as the first assistant director for the 2006 animated science fiction film Renaissance, which starred Daniel Craig. Haggar is also known for his involvement in movies such as The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), The Football Factory (2004), and It’s All Gone Pete Tong (2004).
In 2009, he directed the television series Live From Studio Live. More recently, Haggar has held the role of Broadcast Consultant at ITV, contributing his industry expertise to one of the UK’s major television networks.
James Haggar is married to Naga Munchetty, a prominent British journalist and newsreader known for her work on BBC One's BBC Breakfast, BBC World News, and Victoria Derbyshire. She also previously presented BBC Two's financial affairs program, Working Lunch.
The couple met before Munchetty rose to national prominence and began dating after connecting over shared interests in sports, particularly pool and golf.
